Somehow a Bachelor of Science in Psychology led to a career in the packaging industry. In 1992, after twenty-two years in the corporate world with Georgia Pacific, I started on my own with a new company called Packaging Resources.  I got some good breaks and had success working primarily in the food packaging arena.  As an independent company we were able to enjoy hosting customer events such as the Masters (8 years), trips to business conventions and countless golf outings.  As social chairmen of our country club my wife and I organized events that included cruises, bus trips to Atlanta football games, holiday events and many great parties. We still maintain relationships with old customers who have become friends for life.

Janet and I enjoy hosting events and work as a team. The travel industry will provide us with an opportunity to continue to explore new venues and meet new people.  We love to travel, especially to Europe and the Caribbean; cruises, and the ultimate venue of Christmas shopping on a river cruise in Europe.

My Recent Trips

Lisa Fey
Email: lisa@islandtvl.com

Expert Bio

My wanderlust started as soon as I graduated from college - and had the start date for my first job.  So I took the money I had in the bank and bought a Eurail pass and the Frommer book Europe on $25 per day book and I was hooked on travel.  Now, 30 years later, I no longer use the Eurail pass and my budget is a bit more - but I have travelled for all 7 continents and make a point of leaving the country every year for a new adventure.

I began introducing my friends to travel - starting with a few friends and expanding to larger groups.  It was on a trip to Bosnia and Croatia that the group named the trip a Lisa Venture!

After retiring from a career in Corporate America - I have transitioned into the travel business to help others have amazing adventures wherever they decide to travel.

I also work as a motivational speaker and improv class teacher around the country and volunteer my time on The Board of Visitors for UNC-Chapel Hill and Whole World Improv Theatre.

Growing up in a military family, I had the opportunity to live in many places in the US and Germany. Since 2009, I've been a Virtuoso travel consultant. Virtuoso is the travel industry's leading luxury network.
