Activities that I enjoy are Golf, travel (both in the US and abroad), theater and the arts, wood working, scuba diving, cooking and event planning.  An unexpected talent that emerged in my early 30’s was designing and building unique houses.  Who knew!

Expert Bio

Somehow a Bachelor of Science in Psychology led to a career in the packaging industry. In 1992, after twenty-two years in the corporate world with Georgia Pacific, I started on my own with a new company called Packaging Resources.  I got some good breaks and had success working primarily in the food packaging arena.  As an independent company we were able to enjoy hosting customer events such as the Masters (8 years), trips to business conventions and countless golf outings.  As social chairmen of our country club my wife and I organized events that included cruises, bus trips to Atlanta football games, holiday events and many great parties. We still maintain relationships with old customers who have become friends for life.

Janet and I enjoy hosting events and work as a team. The travel industry will provide us with an opportunity to continue to explore new venues and meet new people.  We love to travel, especially to Europe and the Caribbean; cruises, and the ultimate venue of Christmas shopping on a river cruise in Europe.

Lisa Fey
Email: lisa@islandtvl.com

Expert Bio

My wanderlust started as soon as I graduated from college - and had the start date for my first job.  So I took the money I had in the bank and bought a Eurail pass and the Frommer book Europe on $25 per day book and I was hooked on travel.  Now, 30 years later, I no longer use the Eurail pass and my budget is a bit more - but I have travelled for all 7 continents and make a point of leaving the country every year for a new adventure.

I began introducing my friends to travel - starting with a few friends and expanding to larger groups.  It was on a trip to Bosnia and Croatia that the group named the trip a Lisa Venture!

After retiring from a career in Corporate America - I have transitioned into the travel business to help others have amazing adventures wherever they decide to travel.

I also work as a motivational speaker and improv class teacher around the country and volunteer my time on The Board of Visitors for UNC-Chapel Hill and Whole World Improv Theatre.

    Destination Guide Island Escapes

Grand Voyages and Ultimate Suites Travel Catalog (Latin America Version) #301504
Better still, leave the Patek behind for swaying palms, a rope hammock, and beach butlers delivering cool drinks under the warm tropical sun. Whether you’re snorkeling in a lagoon sanctuary off Tahiti or manning the sails of a tall ship as you venture around Tortola, an island escape can work wonders as you relax, renew, and reignite romance. Allow us, your Virtuoso travel advisors, to work our own magic in providing a host of exclusive benefits and helping you craft those life-defining experiences when the time is just right.

    CARIBBEAN & MEXICO
Perhaps you’re searching for a spa getaway in the Turks and Caicos, or a romantic sanctuary on stilts overlooking Acapulco Bay. You can find peace and tranquility along the Riviera Maya, get lost in playful diversions at Atlantis Paradise Island, and, for a major celebration, Sir Richard Branson will gladly share his own private island just off Virgin Gorda.

    SOUTH PACIFIC
The soft scent of vanilla lures you to magical Moorea, although you’re equally dazzled by lustrous black pearls off Rangiroa and Marlon Brando’s island paradise north of Tahiti. A private plunge pool and celebrated thalassotherapy spa cure all ills on Bora Bora, while a beach barbecue and floating bar await your arrival on the scarcely touched shores of Taha’a.

    HAWAII & BEYOND
Helicopter over Kauai’s stunning Na Pali Coast, get hip in Honolulu, and watch
the fireworks on Kilauea Volcano from your stateroom’s private balcony. Then again, you might wander lively seafood markets and lantern-lined shrines in Japan, visit timeless villages around the Greek Isles, or charter a yacht to explore the gravity-defying limestone pillars of Phang Nga Bay in Thailand.

Virtuoso is proud to be part of the tourism industry, which employs more than 260 million people worldwide and generates nearly 10% of the world’s GDP.
